Better Start Slimming Into That Dress!

September is drawing to a close, which means October is upon us, which means November is just over the horizon. Oh, November! The month of turkeys, fabulous fall feasts, family, and......the MARINE CORPS BALL, which means....DRESS SHOPPING! Yes, while everyone else happily plumps up on holiday cookies, cakes, casseroles and whatnots, knowing they can just hide it under a fantastic fall sweater and "resolve" to eat better next year, I am worrying about how in the heck I am going to fit my little big mommy buns into this:

Or this!!

OR...Hmm, do you think anyone would notice if I just wore this? Really, isn't everyone going to be drunk anyway?

Does anyone know a personal trainer that will kick my butt for free? Just for their own sick satisfaction??! Oh well, never hurts to ASK! :)

Alright, I'm going to give it my all! On this day, the 23rd of September 2008, I resolve to work my butt off so I will not have to wear a bathrobe to the ball (even if no one would notice)!

I'd vote for the bath robe, too, but then again, I've never had to worry about anything fancy that had the word "BALL" in it. Unless you consider T-Ball fancy.

( I posted this on my comment section and then thought that you are never gonna see it so here it is)
Mrs X- I saw the egg incident and it was a great discusion in our house this morning - even though it was oposite opinions on the whole event.
I am sorry that so many have come to visit on a day that I dragged out the soap box but sometimes things just need to be said.
I hope that you get to see your hubby more and that precious time is not spent at the grocery store. :>

As far as the dresses I am no help, my diet consists of Diet Pepsi and a cookie most days. As we speak I have just made homemade Oreo's and pizza. It is comfort food and win on the battle to get my kids to eat. I think I will be skiny after the kids leave the nest......
But good luck, either way I think your hubby will think you look lovely.

Oh my gosh, did you read my guilty pizza post? I'm in the same boat.
Seriously, how the heck am I supposed to lose weight when my kids and husband require me to make delicious comfort foods?!

I promise that I will post the recipe for my comfort food of Pizza and homemade oreos next Tuesday. I usually do a Try-It-Tuesday thing but had to get on my soap box and sling some words out there. So check in next week for the recipes...

Robe all the way! :) Seriously though, if I could even fit a thigh into those other dresses it would be a miracle. Good luck finding that booty kicking trainer. I need one too, but then I'd end up kicking his rear end because I'd hate him so much.

Thanks for stopping by my blog on the BATW tour to NZ.

I'd send over my personal trainer if I had one. Am sure the robe will be fine - it will certainly be a point of conversation!

Mrs X's husband-

Okay since I cannot send the cookies right away you have to read about them on Tuesday. Sorry for the wait. Also so weird and wonderful to have a man comment on my little o blog.

The differing opinions were that we could argue it from both perspectives. I thought that you were in the right and in the wrong. The Man also felt that way too. I guess since we also worked in grocery stores when we were youth that we could see it from the poor under-paid workers point of view. So I guess that is really not too opposing of views but opens up all possible views. It was if anything an interesting though provoking situation. I will have to read the comments to see what others have said. Anyway, please feel free to give us more interesting topics for discusion.

I remember how much fun the balls were. Hope you have a great time.

I like the red dress best, it would really set off your hubby's blood stripes and chevrons, if he is enlisted.

have fun and post a picture. Do they still take those prom-type pictures with the flags in the backgound?

Yes, they do! For some reason last year's pictures never got to us, even though we paid for them. Maybe we'll stop at Sears on the way there :)
